Policies and Procedures

Please read the agreement below carefully before proceeding.

Lesson Packages:

  • Tuition for private voice lessons are sold in packages of 12 for a 10% discount.
  • Tuition for group lessons are sold annually or monthly.
  • These are recurring payments unless otherwise arranged directly with the Bach School of Voice.
  • Tuition for hybrid (group and private) are sold monthly.
  • Group and private lessons are scheduled weekly and taught by Corinne Bach or another member of the Bach School of Voice faculty. All faculty members have been fully vetted and hold degrees in voice, with extensive pedagogical and performing experience.
  • Lesson packages must be purchased prior to the first scheduled lesson in the package (excluding the student’s discovery lesson)
  • If private lessons are included in your package, they may be held online, in person, or hybrid. Additional private lessons may be added at any time.
  • Refer to the Technology Requirements Form for details regarding online lessons. Most lessons are conducted on FarPlay.io, with occasional sessions on Zoom or within the Skool community platform.

Missed Group Lessons:

  • If you are unable to attend a group session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice by emailing soprano.bach@gmail.com.
  • All group lessons will be made available for replay.
  • If a class must be canceled by Corinne Bach or any Bach School of Voice faculty member, it will be rescheduled, with at least 24 hours advance notice provided to all enrolled students.

Cancellations of Private Lessons:

  • Cancellations must be communicated by email, text, or Skool message to your assigned voice teacher at least 24 hours before your scheduled lesson to avoid forfeit. Emergencies will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
  • Only two cancellations per twelve-week period are permitted.
  • Make-up lessons must be scheduled within the active timeframe of the student’s package and are subject to teacher availability.
  • Designated make-up days will be announced to all students of the Bach School of Voice at least two weeks in advance.

Lateness in Group Classes:

  • Lessons and classes begin and end at their scheduled times.
  • Students who arrive late should enter quietly (whether in-person or online). Lessons will not be extended due to tardiness.
  • When applicable, a replay recording will be made available.

Lateness in Private Lessons:

  • Private lessons begin and end at the scheduled time. Due to limited openings, lessons cannot be extended into another student’s time slot.
  • Students who arrive late will receive instruction for the remaining portion of their reserved time.

No-Shows in Private Lessons:

  • If a student is more than five minutes late and no communication has been received, the teacher may consider the student a no-show and, at teacher’s discretion, may use the lesson time to record a personalized instructional video in lieu of the live session.
  • If the student joins within their allotted time, the lesson will proceed but will not be extended beyond the scheduled end time.

Make-Ups for Private Lessons:

Accountability & Expectations:

  • Each student will receive access to a Google Drive in their onboarding email. This drive will include your lesson tracker. It may also include a song list tracker, and repertoire folder (for sheet music and mp3s) for subsequent lessons. The lesson tracker  will be updated every private lesson.
  • A practice journal is encouraged and should be used daily or at least five days per week.
  • The Songbird's Journey Singer's Journal in PDF format will be provided to the student in the Skool VIP Toolkit. Physical copies of the journal can be purchased Students should check the Lesson Tracker and/or recorded lessons during their practice sessions to fully benefit from the weekly group and private lessons.
